    Things My Toddler Has Cried About Recently (and why they’re totally valid points)

    No toddlers were harmed in the making of this post. With his ever increasing desire for independence, Hunter has recently developed Sudden Onset Toddler Tantrum Syndrome (SOTTS) where he will suddenly throw himself on the ground in frustration at his current situation. I feel for him, I really do, and so I thought I better explain why his tantrums are actually completely reasonable responses. I wouldn’t put a pair of shoes on him without first taking the pair he was wearing off.     Sleep & The City

    Ah, sleep. Where for bloody art thou?! I knew that when I posted recently that Littlest Man had started to fall asleep with a cuddle instead of a boob that I’d jinxed it; the few nights following felt like he was attached more than not.   It’s easy to stress about sleep.  Too little, too much, at what time, for how long, in what position, with what help… There’s just so much to worry about and lose sleep over (Pun alert!!     THE GAP

    No, I’m not talking about the infamous thigh gap.  Having been blessed with strong legs that are simultaneously helpful for delivering a semi-decent roundhouse kick and also incredibly unhelpful for finding jeans that fit well, my thighs have always met in the middle, although when the big thigh gap craze of 2013 was raging, I was most excited to discover I sort of had one if I tried to squeeze my knees outwards while standing straight (insider tip, glow mamas, this is not a comfortable way to stand and a brief thigh gap is not worth the extra brain cells it takes to hold yourself in such an awkward position).…
