Hey gorgeous mamas!
You may have seen on my Instagram a while back that I was lucky enough recently to get a Little White Book from the wonderful people at She Said Yes to review. I was so excited when it showed up on my doorstep, I couldn’t wait to start filling it out! I wanted to save the review for a few weeks so I could actually use it first, and therefore write a better post.
One of the cool things about weddings and wedding planning is that you get to totally indulge in all things pretty – so the fact that my book arrived tied with a beautiful ribbon and wrapped with some gold champagne bottle shaped confetti was a super nice touch. And as everyone knows with wedding planning (so I’m told), it’s all about the details!
The Little White Book is great quality and feels really nice to hold (I know that seems like an odd thing to write in a review, but I’d have been a bit bummed if it felt cheap). It just generally feels beautifully wedding-y, which I know isn’t technically a word, but it feels like the right sentiment, OK?
Meet my little friend
So I wasn’t sure what to expect from the Little White Book, and I didn’t know how much use I’d get out of it.
This book is freaking awesome. It’s the perfect mix of a planner, organiser & diary. There’s space to record contact & appointment details, an area for you to work out and keep track of your budget (because we’re all sticking to our wedding budgets… right ladies??) and lots of other helpful bits and bobs.
Now, I’ve been to like two weddings my whole life, so I don’t really have any idea what I’m doing. I was going to just wing it a bit, which to be honest, is not a great game plan for someone with anxiety. This book couldn’t have come at a better time – it got me and my partner really thinking (and talking) about the nitty gritty details of our wedding. See? I told you it was all about the details.
I personally find it so handy having everything recorded in one (beautiful) place, rather than scribbled here, there and everywhere. Plus, the size of the LWB is compact enough to be able to take with you to appointments without having to awkwardly lug around a giant folder.
There’s also plenty of space, complete with journal prompts, to record the memories of this awesome time in our lives. I know I’ll love looking back through it years from now and relive the feelings of excitement. It also serves as a countdown, which is great for keeping track of how quickly our big day is approaching, and has regular checklists to make sure we’ve got certain things organised far enough in advance.
This will be such a treasured keepsake – which is why I’ve only written in pencil so far, because I don’t want to ruin the book by scribbling in pen! I want to keep it looking beautiful for as long as possible, but obviously I will have to bite the bullet and embrace the potential mess (or chaotic beauty?) of scribbled notes at some point… Maybe.
I love this book. It is so helpful, and I’m sure it’ll only get even more helpful the closer we get to our “I Do” day. I’m really enjoying filling it out – it adds to the wedding planning excitement while helping me feel way more on top of things. I’m sure it would be helpful for any bride. ❤
If you’d like to get your own Little White Book, you can buy one here. Have a look at their amazing looking anniversary book “I Still Do” while you’re there – I’m definitely planning on getting one!
Are you planning a wedding? What have you found most helpful so far? Feel free to share and help a fellow bride out!!
Until next time, mamas!
Disclaimer: I purchased this book at a discounted rate in exchange for a blog review, however these are all my own honest opinions.
